The Madagascar 3 stars have finally arrived! Cannes Film Festival is traditionally the high mark of the film festival season, seeing a veritable who's who of stars and a selection of the hottest forthcoming films on the planet arrive on the south coast of France in order to flaunt their wares amidst a glitzy and glamorous backdrop. This year none have been more higher in profile than the cast and crew behind the third instalment of the Dreamworks produced animated hit 'Madagascar,' the commercially massive franchise looking set for another impressive tilt at the box office after the previous two took over $1.1 billion between them worldwide.

Ben Stiller and his co-stars Jada Pinkett Smith and Frances McDormand were all on hand at the glitzy bash, with the actors set to hold a press conference ahead of the 'Europe's Most Wanted's' screening at the festival. Joining those three on voice over duties in the film itself are Sacha Baron Cohen, David Schwimmer and Chris Rock, among others.

Speaking about the plot of the film, Stiller explained "The circus animals stopped taking risks. [My character] Alex has this brainstorm that the way to reinvent the show - to differentiate it from all others - is to reignite the performers' zeal, which they've lost. He tells them 'We don't need humans because we've got passion', then he uses his imagination and experience to pull it off", reports the Press Association.
