Actor Benedict Cumberbatch is convinced he has Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (Adhd) because he struggles to learn his lines.
The Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy star had problems concentrating during his school years and admits he was disruptive in classes, but now he believes a mental disorder could have been to blame as he still has issues staying focused.
He tells British magazine Event, "I had a problem focusing (at school). I probably had Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, or something on the border of it. I was always performing, doing silly voices.
"The teachers realised I could go one of two ways: be creative or destructive... When I was younger I had to spend double the amount of time learning French vocabulary. I struggle to learn by rote. I've had meltdowns on set. Which is embarrassing and shameful."
