Former LAW & ORDER star Benjamin Bratt is convinced Latino actors are treated unfairly in Hollywood - insisting many stars are overlooked by movie bosses because of their ancestry.
The California-born actor has Latin roots through his Peruvian mother, who moved to the U.S. as a teenager.
But Bratt is adamant his South American looks have hindered his movie career - as film chiefs think Latino actors are often too "exotic" for lead roles.
He tells the New York Daily News, "What I'm troubled by is, you cannot name a brown-skinned Latino male who can get a film green-lit. There isn't one. Why not? It still seems we are treated like an exotic other."

Hey Benny,Ever consider you're not that good of an actor? You were one-tone in L&O and stiff in Miss Congeniality. Your show on A&E was lame and so was E-Ring. Pinero was your chance to shine and you flamed out.Don't blame your mediocre (yet still lucrative) career on the white man --blame your agent and your acting coach.

Quit crying like a little girl. You are lucky anyone EVER gave you an acting job. Do you actually think an acting job is earned? and therefore deserved? Any moron can act, it is unskilled labour. The only reason ANYONE gets an acting job is because the producer thinks the person is likable, and will sell tickets.

He's right - Hollywood DOES discriminate against brown-skinned Latin males. Of course, they also discriminate against Asian males and Republican males, too. Right now, in fact, if you aren't Matt Damon or Sean Penn, they pretty much discriminate against EVERYBODY.
