Berenice Marlohe thought she'd never get movie roles because she didn't look French enough.

The 33-year-old 'Skyfall' actress - who was born in Paris - struggled during auditions because few producers thought she had the right look for the big screen.

She said: ''All the French agents told me, 'No, you don't look like a French actress, this will not work.' I don't know what to say, I was not in the mould.''

However, luck came to Berenice when she was cast as Bond girl Severine in the forthcoming James Bond movie 'Skyfall' - starring Daniel Craig as the British spy for the third time - and she admits she likes the part because although she is a leading lady, she does not have to go nude.

She added to GQ magazine: ''With the Bond movies, you never see nudity. Which is, to me, the best way.''

Berenice recently joked she did not think British actor Daniel was sexy before she met him because of how dull he comes across in interviews.

She said: '' What you read in the magazines is very boring, because that can come across as one-dimensional. Personality and what you have to say for yourself in reality is what's important. So when I finally got to meet him, he had such a beautiful nature, very grounded, a very nice personality and a fantastic sense of humour.

''He's truly a great person. All of those things are what makes someone sexy or attractive.''
