Beyonce appears to have suffered at least one miscarriage before the birth of her daughter Blue Ivy in New York City on Saturday (January 7, 2012), according to the lyrics of a new song by her husband Jay Z. The song, titled Glory, has been posted on the music mogul's website Life & Times and features some particularly personal lyrics.
While Jay Z opens positively with, "The most amazing feeling I feel, Words can't describe what a feeling, for real, Baby I'll paint the sky blue, My greatest creation was you", he soon raps of a darker period in his and Beyonce's life, singing, "False alarms and false starts, all made better by the sound of your heart", adding, "last time the miscarriage was so tragic". Before the birth on Saturday, speculation had been rife as to when the superstar couple would finally have a child. With Jay Z continuing to build his empire and Beyonce easily one of the biggest female performers in the world - Blue Ivy will certainly live a privileged life and fans have already begun speculation as to whether she will turn to music like her parents.
It seems some celebrity friends of the couple have also begun thinking up nicknames for Blue Ivy, with Barbadian singer Rihanna calling her "Princess Carter" in a congratulatory Twitter post over the weekend. Beyonce's sister Solange dubbed her "The most beautiful girl in the world".
