Beyonce Knowles made a triumphant debut as a live solo artist on Saturday night (14JUN03) at a pay-per-view concert in Michigan that drew 60,000 people to the town of Dearborn.

Millions watched on cable as the DESTINY'S CHILD star previewed songs from her upcoming DANGEROUSLY IN LOVE album - with a little help from boyfriend Jay-Z.

Beyonce performed a 45-minute solo set as part of a show to mark motor giants FORD's 100th anniversary, which also featured Tyrese, her sister Solange and solo performances from bandmates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams.

The highlight of the show came when rapper Jay-Z joined the singer for her new hit Crazy In Love.

Beyonce, who went through five costume changes during the show, also performed her reworking of 50 CENT's IN DA CLUB and her new album's title track.

Her encore included a live Destiny's Child reunion - the first for 18 months. The trio performed SAY MY NAME, BOOTYLICIOUS and INDEPENDENT WOMAN among other hits, and wowed the crowd with a version of Proud Mary.
