R+B beauty Beyonce Knowles is backing a campaign aimed at strengthening music education in schools in her native Texas.

The CRAZY IN LOVE singer is joining the TEXAS MUSIC PROJECT alongside Clint Black, Eric Clapton and Bonnie Raitt.

The charity hopes to distribute $200,000 (GBP110,000) to Texas schools in 2004, thanks to the sales of its CD series, DON'T MESS WITH TEXAS MUSIC.

Knowles is contributing DANGEROUSLY IN LOVE to the second volume to help the non-profit organisation give grants to schools.
