Bill Murray admits he misses the cast of 'Ghostbusters' enough to want to go back and work on a third film.
Bill Murray would make another 'Ghostbusters' film because he misses the cast.
The 59-year-old actor - who played Dr. Peter Venkman in the 1984 and 1989 instalments of the comedy action movie - admits a reunion could be on the cards, but no specific plans are in place.
He said: "I actually heard people like, young people that really heard of the movie when they were kids and I thought, 'You know, maybe I should just do it. Maybe it'd be fun to do?' Because the guys are funny and I miss Rick Moranis (Louis Tully) and Annie Potts (Janine Melnitz) and Danny Aykroyd (Dr. Raymond Stantz). Those are people that were really, you know, I miss them. I think that's really a big part of it."
However, Bill admits any follow-up movie is a long way off as no storyline has begun
He told ComingSoon.net: "You know, it's really the studio starts this stuff. They start saying 'Ghostbusters.' They want to do it and it's really the world of sequels and bringing these things back again, and then some wiseacre said, 'Hey, we got a couple of new writers who are gonna write something.'
"We made a great movie and then we made another one, you know? So we went to the well twice and it's almost impossible to do the second movie as well.
"Only horror movies get better as they go along because they have more money to spend for more crazy effects."
Despite being best known for his role in 'Ghostbusters', Bill has had a number of successful roles since, including Ernie McCracken in 'Kingpin' and an Oscar-nominated performance in 2003's 'Lost in Translation'.
