Eliza Dushku, the American actress best known for her roles on 'Buffy The Vampire Slayer' and 'Angel', is set to star in a forthcoming animated series based on hit show 'Torchwood', reports Entertainment Weekly. Eliza Dushku has signed on to appear in the online 'motion comic' series titled 'Torchwood: Web of Lies'.
30-year-old Eliza will front the new show, with current 'Torchwood' stars John Barrowman and Eve Myles also providing voices. Jane Espenson, who has worked on 'Battlestar Galactica', 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' and 'Dollhouse' is penning the series along with co-writer Ryan Scott. 'Web of Lies', which is being developed by Bbc Worldwide Productions, will consist of 10 three-minute videos and is expected to launch before the new series of Torchwood premieres on 8th July 2011. The actress hit the headlines last year after it was rumoured she would be appearing in the highly anticipated movie 'Ghostbusters Iii' with Anna Faris and Bill Murray. The much delayed project is being written by original stars Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis.
Eliza Dushku began dating the Los Angeles Lakers star Rick Fox back in October 2009. The couple confirmed they were living together in August of last year.
