Bill Murray unusually jumped at the chance to star in Jim Jarmusch''s new film Broken Flowers, despite his reputation for playing hard-to-get.

Although Ghostbusters actor Murray surprised Jarmusch by his faster-than-normal acceptance, Jarmusch admits it may be his age and experience in the industry which prompted Murray to react quickly.

Jarmusch says, "Bill was very, very good with me. I know he kinda tortured Sofia Coppola and Wes Anderson a little, but he tortured me much less, and I'm not quite sure why. Maybe because I'm older and have more experience. Or maybe it's because I was very particular about what I wanted him to do. So he was pretty responsive - for Bill.

"You still can't get him every time you want him, but he always calls back."
