The actor-and-director is to co-write and direct road movie 'And Then We Drove' which will have parallels to his union to the screen beauty, according to Variety.
Billy Bob, 56, has revealed the project is about "a guy who's on a road trip and picks up this girl along the way, and what happens to them. It's about the question of life, 'What is this? Where do I fit in?' "
'And Then We Drove' producer Alexander Rodnyansky has confirmed the film is partly inspired by the couple's well-documented relationship.
Their union ended in June 2002 but when they were together they were known for their bizarre behaviour around each other and eccentric displays of affection, including each of them wearing a small vial of the other's blood around their necks.
