Scottish funnyman Billy Connolly cut short a show in Sydney, Australia this week (beg07Mar11) after falling sick with a virus.
The comedian took to the stage at the Sydney Opera House on Tuesday (08Mar11), but he abruptly ended the gig, telling the crowd he was unable to carry on because he was "feeling extremely ill".
Paramedics were then called to the famed venue, sparking speculation Connolly had collapsed.
But a representative for the New South Wales Ambulance service tells the Sydney Daily Telegraph medics arrived to treat a fan who had tripped and hit their head in the audience.
Reports have since suggested the star is suffering from a virus, but he is said to be planning to go ahead with Wednesday's (09Mar11) show as scheduled.
