Billy Ray Cyrus opened up his Tennessee home to 60 military families to give them a barbecue to remember.
The Achy Breaky Heart hitmaker staged the get together last year (10) at his Singing Hills farm in Franklin for an episode of his new TV show.
He says, "This was kind of our way of saying thank you to the troops and the men and women for their sacrifice. Really, I just wanted to show 'em a good time.
"We did have a barbecue, it was a pork barbecue with chicken and watermelon. It was just a great summer picnic.
"The farm where I live is called Singing Hills and it's a very personal part of my life and I just wanted to share it with the troops."
Cyrus admits his new TLC network show, Homecoming, in which he visits U.S. troops and their families across the world, has left him "humbled".
