The latest sequel in the street-racing Fast & Furious franchise, starring Vin Diesel and the late Paul Walker, raked in another $18.3 million (£11.4 million) to remain at number one, becoming the first movie to dominate the box office for four weeks in a row since The Hunger Games in 2012.

Comedy Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2 places second with $15.5 million (£9.7 million) in its second weekend on release, while Blake Lively's The Age of Adaline opens at three with a $13.4 million (£8.4 million) take.

Animated family film Home and horror movie Unfriended round out the new top five.

Meanwhile, in the global box office, it's The Avengers: Age of Ultron which has blasted into first place, debuting with a $201.2 million (£125.8 million) haul before it opens in the U.S. and Canada on Thursday (30Apr15).
