Blitzen Trapper's new single, Taking It Easy Too Long, is taken from their sixth studio album, American Goldwing, which was released in September 2011 through Sub Pop Records.
The video for Taking It Easy Too Long was directed by Blitzen Trapper's drummer, Brian Koch. It showcases the best of rural America - bearded men fixing their trucks; relaxing with beers and junk food in front of the TV; skipping stones in a river and spending an evening in front of the campfire. It is perfectly matched to Blitzen Trapper's all American sound.
In addition to Brian, Blitzen Trapper comprises: Eric Earley (guitar/harmonica/vocals); Erik Menteer (guitar/keyboard); Michael VanPelt (bass), and Marty Marquis (guitar, keyboards, vocals). Blitzen Trapper formed in Oregon in 2000 and signed to Sub Pop Records in 2007. To date, has released six studio albums to critical acclaim.
Blitzen Trapper have toured with Wilco and Stephen Malkmus and have performed at the Coachella and Lollapalooza festivals. They have also appeared on the Conan O'Brien show and Jimmy Fallon.
