Blur frontman Damon Albarn has offered the band's services to filmmakers everywhere, insisting he would love to record a movie soundtrack.
The Parklife hitmakers have signed up to headline a special show at London's Hyde Park on 12 August (12) to mark the end of the London Olympics, and Albarn admits the concert will be the band's "last gig in the country this year and probably for a long time".
However, the singer reveals he has a cinematic project in mind, telling Britain's The Sun, "That doesn't mean it's the end of Blur. If someone wanted us to do an album for a film I'd definitely be interested in something like that. So that's the offer."
Blur split in 2003 but came together to play a series of triumphant comeback concerts in 2009. Albarn previously claimed the Britpop stars would call it quits for good and bow out of the spotlight after their Olympics show.
