Bob Dylan was awarded France's top honour during a ceremony in Paris on Wednesday (13Nov13).

The singer/songwriter can now add a Legion of Honour medal to his collection of accolades after French Culture Minister Aurelie Filipetti presented him with the title.

Little footage of the brief ceremony exists because cameras were banned from the ceremony at the culture ministry.

Dylan, 72, is in the French capital for a series of concerts.

The Order of the Legion of Honour medal is presented to individuals who have served France.
