Bob Marley's landmark Exodus album will be the first artist-specific LP to be made available on USB memory stick format.
The 30th anniversary addition will be released on a red, gold and green USB memory stick and micro SD memory card, which can be used on mobile phones, portable audio players and PCs.
Both formats will be limited, with only 4,000 USB sticks and 2,000 SD memory cards. The album will also be available on the standard CD format.
Marley's fifth studio album was recorded in 1977 in the UK after Marley quit Jamaica following a failed assassination attempt. It was eventually released on June 3rd that year and stayed in the UK charts for 56 weeks.
It includes the tracks Jamming, Exodus, Waiting in Vain, One Love/People Get Ready and Natural Mystic.
Island Records will release the New Edition to coincide with a BBC film about the making of the album and Marley's state of mind during the late 70s.
