Bobby Brown told the audience at the Verizon Theatre in Dallas that his daughter Bobbi Kristina - who has been in a medically induced coma since January - is ''awake'' and ''watching'' him.
Bobby Brown says Bobbi Kristina is ''awake''.
The 46-year-old singer - whose daughter, 22, has been in a medically induced coma since she was found face down in a bathtub in January this year - alluded to the fact she may have woken up when he came on stage as a special guest at a Maze featuring Frankie Beverly concert at the Verizon Theatre in Dallas on Saturday (18.0.4.15).
In a video of the gig posted on TMZ, he can be heard saying: ''Bobbi is awake. She's watching me.''
It remains unconfirmed whether the aspiring actress - whom Bobby had with the late singer Whitney Houston - has in fact regained consciousness and it was recently reported she had been moved to a long-term acute care facility at DeKalb Medical in Georgia.
Meanwhile, the 'Candy Girl' hitmaker is said to have disagreed with Whitney's family over whether to turn off Bobbi's life support machine, with her aunt, Pat and her grandmother, Cissy, claiming it isn't ''the best option''.
A source said: ''Of course Bobby wants Krissy to wake up and return to her life. That's all he wants. But there doesn't seem to be a lot of hope and the Houston family is resigned to the fact that keeping Krissy on life support may not be the best option.''
In his first public appearance since the incident last week, Bobby admitted he had decided to let god ''deal'' with the situation.
He said: ''I must tell you all, this feels really, really good. I want to thank you all for coming tonight and supporting me and my family.
''Rough times are rough times, and hard times are hard times. I don't know what the hell I'm going through right now but I'm giving it to God and letting him deal with it.''
Cissy has also said the family are still praying for ''a miracle''.
When asked about Bobbi's condition, she explained: ''She's the same. We've moved her to a place for rehabilitation. And you know, still not a great deal of hope. [We're] still praying.
''I give it to God one time, because I know he's able. And I cannot change a thing. I'm asking everybody: 'Just pray to the Lord who we know can do something about it.' If he works a miracle, thank God. If it happens the other way, I'm alright.''
