Bobby Brown planned for it to be an efficient weekend when he got married, and he proved true to his word, performing a concert last Sunday night before tying the knot with his fiancee Alicia Etheredge the day after in Honolulu.
People Magazine reports that Brown was performing a New Edition concert the night before, but looked fine and dandy in a red suit and Adidas sneakers as he lined up to marry Etheredge. The 43 year-old was surrounded by family and friends, including his older kids Landon, 23, La'Princia, 22, and Bobby Jr., 19, as well as Brown and Etheredge's only child together, Cassius, 3. Sweetly, Cassius donned the same Adidas trainers as his dad and acted as the ring bearer for the ceremony. Bobby Jr. meanwhile posted a picture of the ceremony on his Instagram account. Brown and Etheredge had become engaged in 2010 when, during a sold-out New Edition show in Jacksonville, Fla., he'd credited her with giving him a new lease on life following his 2007 divorce from the now deceased Whitney Houston.
There was one notable absentee from proceedings, as Bobbi Kristina Brown failed to show up for the wedding. The troubled child is reportedly on bad terms with her father, with tensions being strained by the fallout in recent months surrounding Houston's death.
