Bobby Brown 's wife Alicia Etheredge Brown suffered a seizure over the weekend and People magazine report that the seizure was caused by her diabetes. Alicia was diagnosed with the diabetes in 2009, when she was pregnant with their son, Cassius, who is now 3 years old. Other than the cause of the seizure, there has been no update on Alicia's well-being after she collapsed in a Florida hotel room on Saturday (September 1, 2012).
After her collapse, Bobby Brown appealed for people to pray for his wife. On Twitter, he posted a message that read "The report that my wife was rushed to the hospital is true. She is recovering and in good spirits. Please keep my family in your prayers." The seizure happened whilst Bobby was sound-checking with his band, New Edition, for their show at the Gaylord Palms Resort in Kissimmee, Florida. Presumably Brown needed other people to take over the praying, as he busied himself performing with his band that evening.
2012 has been a rocky road for Bobby. In February, his ex-wife Whitney Houston died and he found himself at the center of a great deal of tabloid attention. Once more, the question of whether or not Bobby had introduced Whitney to drugs raised its ugly head and once more, the overwhelming consensus seemed to be that he had a major part to play in her downfall. His relationship with their daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown has also been strained since Whitney's death. More recently, Brown was forced to enter a rehab facility for alcohol addiction problems after he was caught driving under the influence. Somewhat arrogantly, Brown checked out of the facility early, the Daily Mail reported, as he didn't feel that he needed treatment any more.
