Rockers Bon Jovi hope to succeed where Michael Jackson failed, after signing up for a summer residency at London concert venue The O2.
The band will perform a string of engagements at the arena from June 2010 as part of their The Circle World tour, which begins in the spring.
And it'll be a familiar venue for the band - they performed the very first concert at The O2 back in June 2007.
The total number of concerts Bon Jovi will perform has yet to be announced - but tickets will go on sale on 30 October (09).
Rob Hallett, a spokesperson for concert promoters AEG Live, unveiled the residency on Thursday (22Oct09), saying, "When Jon Bon Jovi opened the O2 with the words, 'Hello London, welcome to your new home,' little did he realise that we were already plotting to make it his new home! Bon Jovi are the best live band in the world. This one could run and run."
Jackson was due to begin a 50-concert run at The O2 in July (09), but died from a cardiac arrest just weeks before.
