U2 and Bono will face off against a batch of angry protesters when they take the stage at the Glastonbury festival in England on Friday (24Jun11).
Activists at anti-capitalist group Art Uncut have accused the group of evading taxes in their home country, at a time when Ireland desperately needs the money as it faces a weakening economy.
Group member Charlie Dewar says, "Tax(es) nestling in the band's bank account should be helping to keep open the hospitals, schools and libraries that are closing all over Ireland."
The protesters plan to unravel banners and placards in front of photographers, film crews and nearly 170,000 fans expected at the gig - in order to send the rich rockers a message.
