Boy George has confirmed there will definitely be a Culture Club reunion.

The singer turned DJ is planning to reunite with the 'Karma Chameleon' band in 2012, to coincide with the band's 30th anniversary.

He said: "We're definitely doing it, yeah, yeah, in 2012. Our D-Day is April 30, which is the same day as our first ever single release, 'White Boy', and yeah, we're doing it, it's going to be great fun."

George added that he was keen for the band to re-unite now, before he is too old, as he feels it would be "tragic" to still tour aged 60.

He said: "If we don't do it now we'll do it when we're 60, which will be really tragic. In fact, when I do this tour next year I will be 50 officially, because I'm 50 on the 14 of June, in eight months time!"

George - who was always renowned for his flamboyant dress sense - also said he supports today's pop stars, such as Lady GaGa, for their outrageous style.

He added: "I suppose if I hadn't looked like that, nobody would have noticed me. So it did the trick.

"I think you have to kind of really push the envelope now to kind of really make a difference. I suppose Gaga would be a good Example, but yeah, I think you have to really literally wear lobsters on your head or telephones."
