Whitney Port regrets not going to fashion school.

Although the former 'Hills' star now has her own successful fashion line, she admitted she struggled with the more technical aspects of the job when she first started out.

Speaking at the Simply Stylist Los Angeles fashion panel, Whitney told BANG Showbiz: ''My biggest regret is not going to fashion school. I started out with no technical experience when I was doing my own fashion line and it was tough.

''I still plan to go back to school and learn how to sew my own clothes.''

Whitney also revealed people are shocked to discover she works on all of the designs herself as so many celebrities simply just put their name to a fashion line without putting in the work.

She added: ''The key thing for me is that the line looks great. People thought because I was on reality television that I didn't have the talent and was just putting my name on the clothes. They didn't understand I have been designing for years. The most important thing for me is quality.''

Whitney was joined by fellow panellists Louise Roe, Brad Goreski, Melissa Magsaysay and Jacqueline Rezak at the Simply Stylist event which was hosted by E! News anchor Catt Sadler.
