Carrie Underwood has given birth to a baby boy.

The 'Blown Away' hitmaker, who announced in September that she was expecting her first child with husband Mike Fisher, has revealed they welcomed their son, Isaiah Michael Fisher, into the world last Friday (27.02.15).

The 31-year-old singer shared her joy on Facebook today (03.03.15), writing: ''Tiny hands and tiny feet ... God has blessed us with an amazing gift! Isaiah Michael Fisher -- born February 27.''

She also posted a photograph of the tot snuggled up in grey and white clothing, but concealed his face.

Carrie's friend Brad Paisley accidentally confirmed the sex of their baby at the CMAs [Country Music Awards] in November, when he joked: ''We could name him Garth.''

But she later confessed she and professional ice hockey player Mike, 34, weren't surprised when their doctor told them the news.

The former 'American Idol' contestant said: ''[It was] just the two of us in a nicer setting, but we both knew. So, that was just confirming our suspicions. We didn't really speak of it before because we were both just like, 'Whatever. It's all good.' But we knew it was a boy.''

The blonde beauty recently admitted she was looking forward to the end of her pregnancy.

She said: ''I'm looking forward to reclaiming my body. I've been saying it's been on loan for the past many months ... I'm excited to take it back.''

But she insisted the experience was ''beautiful.''

She said: ''The whole process itself [has been] really beautiful. Even when I feel pretty large, it really is such a miracle and such a beautiful thing.''
