Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie can add a new winemaking accolade to their awards cabinet after winning acclaim for their Chateau Miraval Rose 2012.

The couple's top bottle has been named among the 84 wines of the year by Wine Spectator magazine - making it the "best rose in the world".

When the wine first hit stores this spring (13), all 6,000 bottles sold out within five hours.

The rose is the first hit from a partnership between the movie stars and Provence's winemaking Perrin family.

The Wine Spectator magazine nod comes just three days after Jolie was honoured with the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award at the fourth annual Governors Ball in Hollywood on Saturday (16Nov13).
