WORLD WAR Z, the highly anticipated new movie starring Brad Pitt, has reportedly cast its leading lady. WORLD WAR Z will feature the Hollywood actor alongside 'Big Love's' MIREILLE ENOS, according to Deadline.com. There has been much speculation as to who would land the female lead in the movie, with Enos regarded as a surprise casting.
A number of established Hollywood actresses had been linked with the film, but studio bosses have reportedly opted for Enos, star of 'Big Love' and more recently 'The Killing'. The actress will play the wife of Brad Pitt's character in the big screen adaptation of the zombie war book. In the movie, Pitt portrays a journalist documenting the aftermath of a war between humans and zombies that took place a decade earlier. The actor bought the rights to MAX BROOKS' book three years ago, but the project has hit a number of delays since. Paramount Pictures were allegedly reluctant to foot the entire $125 million bill, but new financiers have since joined the project and filming is expected to get underway this year, with a release date tentatively scheduled for 2012.
Brad Pitt is currently filming the forthcoming crime-thriller 'Cogan's Trade', about the professional enforce 'Jackie Cogan' who investigates a heist that went down during a mob-protected poker game. The film is being directed by Andrew Dominik and also stars Ray Liotta and Richard Jenkins.
