OSCAR-winning producer Brian Grazer was introduced to the graphic porn film DEEP THROAT by an unexpected figure in his life - his grandmother.

Grazer, who runs IMAGINE ENTERTAINMENT with Ron Howard, learned all about the impact of the 1972 movie from his much-older relatives - but didn't actually see it until 1976, when he was at a party.

He says of his grandmother, "She and my grandfather stood in line in broad daylight to see it. She was curious about the hoopla. It was the thing to do back then."

Grazer became so fascinated with the impact the movie had on American culture, he put together a documentary on it - called INSIDE DEEP THROAT - which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival on Friday (21JAN05).

He says, "It was an atomic explosion in pop culture. And it's the beginning of the time when sex started to find its way into every aspect of our lives.

"It's the most profitable movie ever made - and also the most litigious. And - I'd venture - one of the most influential as well. Just look around. Sex is everywhere."
