Bristol Palin, the daughter of former Vice-President candidate and Alaska Senator Sarah Palin, has voiced her scathing disagreement with President Barrack Obama over his stance on gay marriage. She accused the President of changing his mind on the topic because of the influence of his daughters, a reference to his speech to Congress on the subject of same-sex marriage in which he spoke of a friend of Malia and Sasha who has same-sex parents.

She wrote, ignorantly some might say, on her blog about how the President should have been a better dad in this situation and told his daughters that same-sex marriage is unethical and that he changed his mind on the subject because of teenage opinion on the subject. She also spoke ill of certain popular TV shows such as Glee that may have influenced the President in his decision to support same-sex marriage.

However, many stars have come in defence of the President, namely Jersey Shore star Jenni 'JWoww' Farley, who immediately took to Twitter to blast Bristol for her "ignorant" and "uneducated" views. Other celebrities, notably those from the LGBT community such as Ellen DeGeneres and Jane Lynch, have since thanked Mr Obama for what he has said he hopes to do for their community.
