Britney Spears has reportedly attended a parenting class as she continues to try and regain custody of her children.
People magazine reports a source close to the singer as saying that she was looking forward to the 'parenting without conflict' sessions and to meeting with ex-husband KEVIN FEDERLINE, who is reportedly
staying at the hotel where the classes are taking place.
"Britney is actually really excited about seeing Kevin. She sees this as the first step in them getting along for the sake of the kids," the unnamed person told the magazine.
The Baby One More Time star has been ordered to attend parenting classes and to undergo regular drug tests in order to keep custody of her children.
Scott Gordon, the judge presiding in the case, previously called
Spears a "habitual, frequent and continuous" user of controlled substances and alcohol and laid down numerous conditions the pop princess has to meet to regain 50-50 custody of her sons.
The counselling sessions she is attending are reportedly designed to help couples deal with communication problems and cooperation. While the terms of the programme urge quarrelling couples to enrol for joint sessions, it is not a condition of the teaching.
Another hearing into the custody battle will take place tomorrow, with both parties having to appear for the hearing.
Spears and Federline previously shared custody of their children but their 50-50 arrangement was ended by the judge in the case due to concerns over the former's parenting skills. Federline currently has custody of the couple's two children, with Spears holding visitation rights.
