At her best one of the biggest pop stars on the planet, Britney Spears evidently isn't quite the draw she once was, the 29 year-old performer attracting a rather thin array of stars at the London launch of her first European tour in two years.
Kicking off her Femme Fatale tour with a party at the Sanctum Soho Hotel, Spears was joined by the somewhat less recognisable faces of British reality stars Mark Wright and Katie Waissel, reports the Daily Mail. Wright - who is in 'The Only Way Is Essex' - couldn't hide his excitement at meeting the pop princess, tweeting "Is it silly that I am excited to be on the way to Britney Spears tour launch party going to be in the same room as one of the world's biggest stars?" Meanwhile Waissel, who reached week eight in last year's 'X Factor,' was also in attendance alongside new girl group PARADE.
Spears didn't seem to mind the lack of A-listers at the bash, indeed she just seemed to be happy to be in the UK; the week before she'd tweeted "So excited to stop over in the UK before I start my European tour in a few weeks. Can't wait! I LOVE London, it's like my second home." The singer plans to film the video for her forthcoming single 'Criminal' while in the UK capital; the tour proper kicks off in Russia on September 17th before coming to Britain on October 27th with the first of two O2 Arena dates.
