Britney Spears is planning to make her acting comeback in 2012 - and she wants to turn bad for her big screen return.
The Toxic hitmaker made her feature film debut in 2002's Crossroads, which was panned by critics and only pulled in $61 million (£38 million) at the international box office.
Spears has stayed away from movies since the project, but now the pop superstar admits she's eager to give acting another shot - and has her sights set on playing against type.
She says, "Definitely next year I am going to take a different route. I see myself being a detective, assassin or even a bad girl."
