Britney Spears' ex Jason Trawick has resigned as her co-conservator following their split.
The singer's dad, Jamie Spears, was granted the right to make decisions about his daughter's general well-being in early 2008 following her highly-publicised mental health breakdown.
The Toxic hitmaker's agent and partner Trawick was added to the conservatorship last April (12), but after confirming they had called off their engagement on Friday (11Jan13), he legally rescinded his appointment so the two could make a clean break.
Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Reva Goetz stated, "The court accepts the resignation (of Trawick). (Jamie Spears) will remain as the sole conservator of her person."
The former lovers have since vowed to remain friends - the 31 year old, who on Friday also quit as a judge on the U.S. version of The X Factor, said, "I'll always adore him and we will remain great friends."
Trawick added, "As this chapter ends for us a new one begins. I love and cherish her and her boys and we will be close forever."
