A Britney Spears fan plummeted to her death outside the O2 arena in Dublin, Ireland on Monday (24Oct11) after falling from a fairground ride.
Siobhan Healy, 31, boarded the Tip Top ride after attending the singer's Femme Fatale performance and fell to her death minutes later.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Fairground ride operator and owner of MCFadden's Entertainment, Kenneth MCFadden, has since confessed staff opted to keep running despite severe weather conditions. Irish police have launched an investigation into the accident.
A spokesman for the O2 arena tells the Daily Mail newspaper, "Kenneth MCFadden, owner of MCFadden's Entertainment, confirms that a tragic incident took place last night at one of the attractions we operate. It is being investigated by the gardai (police) and we are, of course, co-operating fully with them."
