Rockers Broken Bells used their set at Britain's Glastonbury festival on Friday (25Jun10) to pay tribute to late SPARKLEHORSE star MARK LINKOUS.
The musical duo, made up of The Shins' James Mercer and Gnarls Barkley star Brian 'Danger Mouse' Burton, worked with Linkous on a side project album called Dark Night of the Soul, which featured collaborations with artists including The Flaming Lips and Julian Casablancas of The Strokes.
Linkous was found dead in an alleyway outside a friend's home in Knoxville, Tennessee in March (10) after he reportedly shot himself in the heart, and his pals paid an emotional tribute when they took the stage at the British music event on Friday.
The duo played Insane Lullaby from Dark Night Of The Soul and dedicated the track to their late friend, with Mercer telling the crowd, "Brian and I wrote this next song with our good friend Mark Linkous."
