Brooke Burke, the American television personality and ABC show host, is taking her husband's name and will now be known as Brooke Charvet. Brooke debuted her new name on last night's episode of Dancing With The Stars, reports People Magazine.
Speaking at Sunday's Emmy Awards in Los Angeles, Burke said not everyone agreed with her decision, saying, "Tomorrow on Dancing with the Stars will be the first time I go by my new name.I'm happy about being Brooke Charvet. It's been 50-50 from everybody, but I'm doing it!". The mother of four is still basking in the delight of becoming a newlywed, saying, "It was a very selfish, but meaningful moment. It was really spontaneous and romantic and really about us and not about what everyone else wanted or thought". Brooke married French actor and singer Charvet on 12th August 2011. The couple currently reside in California with their daughter Heaven Rain and son Shaya Braven. Brooke also has two daughters from a previous relationship. Before becoming engaged to Burke, David dated Israeli model Bar Refaeli and actress Tori Spelling.
The television personality began co-hosting Dancing With The Stars in 2010 after winning the seventh season of the competition.
