Michael Jackson considered PRINCESS DIANA, TATUM O'NEAL and Brooke Shields the three loves of his life.
In taped interviews conducted by his close friend Rabbi Shmuley Boteach, the late King of Pop discussed his relationships with the women in his life.
He described Diana, who he befriended, as "my type" adding, "She was good, I loved her very much. she was my type, for sure."
Jackson dated O'Neal early in his career and described his affection for the actress in Boteach's tapes.
He said, "When I held Tatum's hand, I was, like, in heaven. It was the most magical thing. It was better than kissing her, it was better than anything. I remember we went to this club, and I don't go to clubs, which was called the Roxy. And I watching the band, I was sitting there, and underneath the table, she was holding my hand, and I was, like, melting... Fireworks going off.
"That was one of the loves of my life. I think she loved me as much as I loved her, you know? We dated a lot. We, we went out a lot. Her pictures were all over my wall, my mirror, everything."
Jackson later dated Shields after meeting her at the Oscars. Describing their first 'date' at an afterparty, Jackson told his friend, "We exchanged numbers and I was up all night, singing, spinning around my room, just so happy. It was great."
The interviews with Boteach, which took place between 1999 and 2001, were aired for the first time in the U.S. on Friday (25Sep09) night's edition of Dateline, three months after Jackson's death from a cardiac arrest.
The superstar also discussed his marriage to Lisa Marie Presley, which soured after she refused to have children with him.
He explained, "She promised me that before we married, that would be the first thing we'd do is have children. So I was broken-hearted and I walked around all the time holding these little baby dolls and I'd be crying, that's how badly I wanted it, you know."
