British rockers Viva Brother have disbanded.
The trio announced its decision to break up on Sunday (01Apr12) and a representative has since confirmed the news to NME.com, following suggestions from fans the report was an April Fools' Day joke.
A post on the group's Twitter.com account reads, "Thank you to everyone that has ever supported us or believed. It has been an unbelievable journey. This is us signing off. Goodbye."
Leaving followers with one last musical number, the Gritpop band later tweeted a YouTube.com link to its final song I Don't Want to Be Loved. The message says, "We'll leave you with this last song. We recorded it a couple of months ago."
Viva Brother formed in 2010 and its debut record, Famous First Word, peaked at number 34 on the U.K. albums chart last year (11).
