Clarence Clemons' nephew has been recruited by Bruce Springsteen as the late saxophonist's successor.
Springsteen and the E Street Band were left devastated when the 69 year old passed away in June (11) after suffering complications from a stroke.
The rockers tried to carry on in his absence without selecting a replacement but, while rehearsing for their upcoming Wrecking Ball Tour, the group realised it had to fill the void.
And on Thursday (09Feb12) The Boss invited Jake Clemons to step into his uncle's shoes and join Springsteen and his back-up band next month (Mar12).
The Born to Run's longtime collaborator Eddie Manion will also share the role.
The Wrecking Ball Tour is due to kick off in Atlanta, Georgia on 18 March (12).
