Bruce Willis Has Pulled Out Of Independent Film Wake After Production Recently Ground To A Halt Due To Problems Securing Financing.
Bosses at the film's production company, Benaroya Pictures, shelved shooting in February (15), just 10 days after they began filming the thriller in Cleveland, Ohio.
The executives announced they were hopeful filming would be up and running again within weeks, but the production has hit another roadblock now that Willis has exited the project, along with director John Pogue, according to Deadline.com.
Reports suggest Willis has a prior commitment that conflicts with Wake's delayed production timeline.
He was set to play a sociopath who returns to his childhood home on a remote island in the film. There's no word on whether co-stars Sir Ben Kingsley, Ellen Burstyn and Piper Perabo are still attached to the film.
