Bruno Mars has had a good week despite not picking up any of the main Grammy Awards at the weekend, with first his album 'Doo-Wops & Hooligans' back in the iTunes Top 10 following the exposure according to the Los Angeles Times, and then an apparent female tryst on Monday evening.
The New York Daily News reports that Mars decided to romance a day ahead of Valentine's Day after getting "touchy-feely on a couch" with a friend of TV actress and personality Lala Vasquez. Mars was among the guests at an early birthday bash for pop princess Rihanna, whose actual birthday is on Monday February 20th. Among the guests were the recently divorced Katy Perry, Coldplay front man Chris Martin and former Destiny's Child singer Kelly Rowland.
Mars might not have won at the Grammys but he impressed nonetheless, reports MTV, with an uplifting version of his hit 'Runaway' to an audience who certainly needed a smile after the sad news the day before of Whitney Houston's death. Mars, like so many others, paid tribute in his performance when shouting mid-song "Yo, tonight we celebrate. We celebrate the beautiful Miss Whitney Houston. Get off your rich asses and let's have fun!" It's not a surprise then that his album seems to be back in-vogue alongside others who won or performed on the night including Adele, Bon Iver and Katy Perry.
