The former Buffy The Vampire Slayer star was taken into custody in Tallahassee, Florida on Friday (13Mar15) after he was allegedly found to have trashed his hotel room, just a month after his last brush with police in Fort Lauderdale, where he was arrested at a hotel on suspicion of felony grand theft.

He also hit headlines in October (14) amid allegations he caused a disturbance at another hotel in Idaho.

Brendon was released on $1,000 (£625) bail on Saturday (14Mar15) after he was charged with criminal mischief, and he subsequently revealed he had suffered a "black out" after coming off medication he was taking to treat depression he has been dealing with "since I was a kid".

Brendon has now opened up further about the personal issues which have dogged him for years, revealing he was a victim of sexual abuse as a child.

He tells the Tallahassee Democrat, "When I was a kid, I was molested for two years by a teacher. And that's never been talked about anywhere. From that moment, my life changed immensely. I haven't talked about it because I didn't want to use it as a crutch. I'm seeing as I get older that it did have a huge, huge effect on me. I always thought it was something I could brush aside, and it's something I can't brush aside."

However, Brendon, 43, is determined to seek professional help to deal with the affects of the abuse, so he can get his life back on track.

He says, "It's up to me to take care of me seeing my doctor again and getting back on the proper medicine and not cheating myself."
