The Puerto Rican rapper is planning a project without his partner and step-brother Eduardo Cabra, with an record tentatively called The Residente Album, in reference to his nickname.

Perez Joglar announced the news on his Instagram.com account, writing multiple posts about his new venture while on vacation in a Siberian forest.

He previously told Billboard that he has been writing and recording songs in Brooklyn, New York, saying, "I'm putting all my effort into something new and original and great."

Meanwhile, Cabra was reportedly recording his own music in London, leading some to speculate that the Grammy-winning group may be on the verge of splitting up. However, the duo is set to hit the road together starting on 30 May (15) in Mexico, then on to a string of dates in Europe.
