Bad Religion and Cavalera Conspiracy are among 28 acts added to the bill for Sonisphere festival.

The bands will join headliners Metallica, Slayer, MEGADETH, Anthrax, Biffy Clyro and Slipknot on the bill for the three day UK rock event, which takes place in Knebworth this July.

Former SEPULTURA singer Max Cavalera - who appears in Cavalera Conspiracy with his brother Igor - said: "I'm f***ing super excited to be part of the Sonisphere Festival.

"We have a new album out, 'Blunt Force Trauma', and me and Igor are on fire. We are gonna play stuff from the first CD, 'Inflikted', new stuff, some Sepultura and Nailbomb classics, so it should be a storm of metal coming to Sonisphere UK. I can't wait!"

Also added to the festival bill today (11.04.11) are Cancer Bats, Hayseed Dixie, Pulled Apart By Horses, Sylosis and comedy act Richard Cheese with his group Lounge Against The Machine, among others.

Sonisphere takes place between July 8 and 10, ticket details and more information is available from uk.sonispherefestivals.com
