British Oscar nominee Carey Mulligan lived the life of a hotel scavenger as a young child - by sneaking into the rooms at her father's guest houses and picking up lost items visitors had left behind.
The An Education star lived in the hotels her father managed in England and Germany and admits she and her brother would hide in maid's trolleys and claim whatever they found in vacated rooms.
Mulligan reveals most of the stuff they found was "crap" but there were a few treasures.
She says, "We got a Swiss army knife once."
And she'll always remember that find - because she has a scar on her left hand from slicing through a finger.
