Carl Barat has cast doubt on re-joining his former The Libertines bandmate Pete Doherty for a permanent reunion - insisting the "curtain is falling" on the cult British band.
Barat and Doherty reunited in 2010, six years after the group split up, to play comeback gigs at the Reading and Leeds festival in the U.K.
The thawing of the pair's frosty relationship sparked rumours the band would announce a full tour and start recording new material together - but Barat has now signalled a permanent reunion is not looking likely.
Speaking at the unveiling of a fly-on-the-wall film about the group in London on Wednesday (27Apr11), he told the Bbc, "It's the end of a chapter for sure for me. Tonight a curtain is falling on something... Anything is possible again but for me it's almost cathartic and I can now move on."
