Santana: 'Simmons Is No Musician' - Comments and Message Board
So where did these alleged comments come from anyway?I really have my doubts about commenting on some unattributed comments when I can't see the original context for myself. It does sound out of character for somebody like Santana to be that negative.To suggest that the validity of the comments can be gauged by the number of planinum albums is such a complete logical howler that I am surprised the contributor was prepared to advertise his lack of intellect by making it.Finally the most amusing point for all of you who rush to Gene Simmons defence is that his response statement more or less reads guilty as charged.Well thats my bit of pot stirring for the day. Full marks for any rebuttal that is both civil and to the point.

Carlos Santana needs to get real! Gene Simmons is a class act! I think Mr. Santana is jealous of Mr.Simmons. Who would want to watch Carlos Santana's Rock School? Why the need to bad mouth Gene Simmons? How many Gold albums does Mr. Santana have anyway? I think about 25 or more less than KISS. KISS has millions of fans worldwide. Hundreds of KISS tribute bands. KISS Rocks!

Carlos Santana needs to get with the program.......he me be a very good musician and has a world wide fan base, but he should be more "compassionate" about whathe says about other musicians.He "preaches" love - togetherness - brotherhood and all kinds of other stuff. I guess it's all BULLs**t !!! KISS thinks of their fans FIRST (they played in my hometown of Laredo, Texas - Pock the Nation Tour) yet Carloscancelled because of "slow" ticket sales !!! Blow it out your ASS Carlos Santana, your GREED is showing !!!

No wonder no one likes musicians....I doubt Gene would argu though. problem is Carlos Santana doesn't know what music is. To him it's endless bluesy riff jams, to which the public collectively yawns at all the time. I'm still pissed at Santana anyway. When I went to the Wango Tango Fest in LA 4 years ago, he did over an hour set of that annoying jamming, which, trust me, no one seemed to enjoy. Because of his playing over his time, the show ran too long, and KISS was forced to cut their set to 4 songs from seven.I guess it's obvious who the tru a**hole is!!Erik

I wonder if this guy, whoever carlos santana is, realizes just who Gene Simmons is? Do you think he's speaking of the actress Jean simmons? But she to my knowledge doesn't dress gothic....but neither does Gene. I believe this carlos guy needs to go make a record and write it off of his taxes at tax time and leave people that have sold records alone. I don't know maybe it's because Gene Simmons is Jewish and this carlos guy could be just Prejudice against minorities.

HAHAHA, have you ever heard an album of his music (Santana that is). The same crap that he is been doing for 30 wasted years. Gene never said or claimed to be a musician, he IS the ultimate entertainer.Learn something from it, stupid, so people don't have to fall asleep at your concerts, hahaha...nerd!!
