Cate Blanchett and Geoffrey Rush are leading the nominations for this year's (11) Australian Helpmann Awards.
The Lord Of The Rings star has been shortlisted for Best Actress in a Play at the performing arts prizegiving, for her role in her Sydney Theatre Company's production of Anton Chekhov's Uncle Vanya. She picked up the same trophy at the 2005 ceremony.
Meanwhile, Rush has been nominated for the Best Actor equivalent for his role in Diary Of A Madman.
Productions named in the Australia's Best-loved Musical category include Hairspray, Doctor Zhivago, Love Never Dies and Mary Poppins, which has been listed for 12 awards altogether.
The winners will be announced on 1 August (11) at the Sydney Royal Opera House.
