Jason Orange, the 41-year-old singer and member of boy band Take That, is dating the actress and comedienne Catherine Tate. The couple, who first met while filming a Comic Relief spoof, have enjoyed a "secret romance" in recent months, according to the UK's Sun newspaper.
Catherine, best known for her 'Am I Bovvered?' television sketch, warmed to Jason after playing him in the spoof boy band 'Fake That' in March. She was joined by comedians David Walliams, Alan Carr, James Cordon and John Bishop who together portrayed the reunited group. The mother-of-one stayed in touch with the singer and the pair have since enjoyed a growing friendship. Their string of secret dates included an overnight stay in Stratford-upon-Avon, where they caught a performance of 'A Midsummer Night's Dream'. They were also spotted having lunch at a restaurant in the Warwickshire town, with one onlooker recalling, "They were trying to keep things secret but looked very loved up and happy together". A friend of Orange explained how the pairing was "very unlikely" but added, "They've been on a number of dates to the theatre and the cinema. They really enjoy each other's company. Catherine deserves someone nice and she has landed on her feet with Jason. But they have both been desperate to keep their romance secret".
Orange has never married, but has been linked to numerous models such as Kathy Lloyd and former 'Wheel of Fortune' star Jenny Powell. Catherine was previously in a relationship with stage manager Twig Clark, but the couple split earlier this year having had one daughter together.
